Killing Flaw are an Australian power trio delivering a raw and distinctive blend of blues rock, grunge, and classic riff-driven rock.Formed in the Blue Mountains in 2018, the trio of Rob Chapple (vocals/guitar), Dave Bleus (bass) and Nathan Tuffin (drums) have built their sound around big riffs, dirty guitars, groove and honest songwriting, while refusing to be confined to a single genre.

After 5 years of writing, recording and refining their material, Killing Flaw released their debut full-length album, Better Late Than Ever, on July 1, 2026.

The album reflects the band’s diverse influences and musical curiosity, moving between hard-hitting blues rock, grunge-infused guitar work, acoustic songwriting, jazz influences and touches of bluegrass, while maintaining a strong blues foundation throughout.

Earlier in 2026, Killing Flaw took their music overseas for their first Japanese tour, bringing their blues-rock sound to audiences in Japan and marking an important step in the band’s growing international journey.

The record features original material alongside Killing Flaw’s interpretation of Jimi Hendrix’s “Message to Love” and “Magic Sam”the latter the bands tribute to the legendary Chicago bluesman.

“Magic Sam” became a standout track for the band, reaching #1 on the AMRAP Blues & Roots chart, while Better Late Than Ever has also gained attention across the Australian blues and roots scene debuting at #16 on the Australian Blues & Roots Charts (ABARAC)

The band’s music is also finding its way onto radio internationally, with tracks including “I Am”, “Magic Sam” and “Yesterday Blues” receiving blues-radio airplay.Killing Flaw’s music has also attracted strong listener response through triple j Unearthed, where “Magic Sam” has been described as a rocking blues track with “screaming harp”, while other tracks have drawn praise for their songwriting and musicianship.

At its heart, Killing Flaw is about three musicians taking the music they love and making it their own blending influences rather than simply reproducing them…. “its the blues but dragged through a big dark amplifier”. Better Late Than Ever may have taken 5 years to arrive. But the wait was worth it.
